

The digital inputs and outputs are TTL devices. Each channel of analog input can be programmed from the host to sample a different range.

The CerealBox accepts power between 6.5 and 9 volts if unregulated, or 5 volts if regulated. A 6.5 volt power supply is provided for U.S. use. International customers will need to provide a power supply.
The LV824-E draws 190 mA. All other versions draw 280 mA.

A 25 ft. serial cable is provided. Status is provided by two LED's.
Source code, written in C, is provided for all functions needed to configure and sample the CerealBox. The software is provided on CD. The software is fully compatible with BG Systems FlyBox®, which allows physical vehicle controls to be connected to the CerealBox as a direct replacement for a FlyBox. Example programs are included which describe how to use the library.
Depending on the baud rate and the number of channels selected, update rates between 30-300 Hz can be achieved.
The CerealBox has been tested on several Unix Workstations, Macintosh, Linux, and "Wintel" PC computers. Consult BG Systems if you have a platform not listed.
The CerealBox can run at baud rates between 2400 and 115200.
